Noise monitoring and mitigation play a vital role in addressing the environmental repercussions of offshore operations, particularly concerning marine ecosystems. Underwater noise arises from multiple sources, such as construction (e.g., pile driving, dredging), shipping activities, and geophysical explorations related to offshore wind and oil and gas sectors (e.g., seismic surveys). Implementing effective noise monitoring and mitigation measures is essential for safeguarding marine species that depend on sound for communication, navigation, and foraging.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate projects, ensuring compliance with all financial, contractual, and other commitments as per the agreed terms and in line with the company's health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards.
- Evaluate, prepare, and submit tenders, followed by necessary follow-up actions. Conduct critical reviews of tender and project documentation prepared by the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager.
- Serve as a mentor to the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and experience.
- Review, execute, and manage contracts in accordance with the Quality Assurance System, which includes risk management, budget oversight, performance evaluation, and client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with other Boskalis entities, group companies, and external clients.
- Establish strong client relationships, conduct client visits, and deliver formal presentations.
- Support business development and marketing initiatives for the Boskalis Group as needed.
Your Qualifications:
You will excel as a Senior Project Manager if you possess:
- A degree or equivalent qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of Marine Mammal Mitigation and noise monitoring practices.
- Experience in a similar or related position, including leadership in team settings.
- Proficient understanding of the complete Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects across all key business sectors from initiation to completion.
- A minimum of three years of project, commercial, strategic, and/or financial experience, preferably within the marine or survey industry.
