Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and standards to guide the strategic direction of the service.
- Oversee timely submissions of reports and notifications to regulatory bodies, ensuring all records and audits comply with regulations.
- Develop and maintain systems for care planning and case recording to meet regulatory requirements.
- Foster an inclusive, capable environment for individuals with learning and physical disabilities.
- Provide guidance, supervision, and training to staff, ensuring they implement the organisation's policies and procedures.
- Identify training needs and support the professional development of the team.
- Collaborate with professional agencies, local community, and voluntary groups to expand opportunities for service users.
- Manage the service's budget, ensuring value for money and effective financial control.
- Produce and monitor service and individual work plans, appraising team performance.
- Develop robust administrative systems to support daily operations, financial records, and performance management.
- Build and lead a motivated, inclusive, and skilled staff team, promoting equality and diversity in both service provision and employment.
Requirements:
- Full UK driver's license and access to a vehicle (preferred).
- Enhanced DBS check (mandatory).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of management experience in a care setting, supporting individuals with learning/physical disabilities.
- Proven experience in team leadership and performance management.
- Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and regulatory standards.
- Commitment to equality and diversity.
