About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fashion Designer to join our team at PrettyLittleThing. As a Senior Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing ranges in line with current trend, customer profiles, and brand direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design across multi-fashion product areas, including denim, outerwear, and knitwear.
- Deliver balanced and extensive design research, using directional shopping, fabric fairs, and catwalk awareness to create unique stand-out product lines.
- Monitor and evaluate the commercial potential of designs within your area and articulate key shapes and volume lines.
- Responsible for creating concept boards/packs for design presentations, ensuring all research items are sourced to represent key messages.
- Create technical packs consistent for suppliers to translate, utilizing wide technical knowledge to support the technical team in creating best-fit garments reflecting relevant blocks.
- Liaise with peers within the Buying and Merchandising teams to fully support the overall delivery of a profitable and commercial range, while helping to drive a wider awareness of trend and innovation through the business.
- Adhere to the brand's CP and departmental deadlines to ensure your product is available for all key meetings and deadlines.
- Travel to supplier bases for seasonal sourcing of key fabric and new opportunities and ideas.
- Take ownership of your category, ensuring your product is available for all look book/campaigns and ecommerce shoots.
- Flexibility to travel locally between our London and Manchester offices and offshore when required.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience within a previous design role, preferably with experience in multi-product areas, ideally with some experience in either denim, outerwear, or knitwear.
- Outstanding commercial awareness and comprehensive understanding of womenswear trends.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of working with other product teams and external suppliers to build productive relationships.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CAD: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Comfortable working at pace, with agility being a key attribute.
