Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients across various clinical areas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Clinical Practice
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions to promote patients' independence and functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
Leadership and Professional Development
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance occupational therapy services and patient care.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in occupational therapy to inform clinical decision-making.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and care coordination.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working in an acute physical setting, preferably in a medical or neurological rotation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
