About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join our team at SaluteMyJob. As a key member of our Facilities team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Provide expert support for the maintenance and upkeep of our data centre facilities, ensuring that all systems are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Data Centre Operations: Collaborate with our Facilities Manager to ensure that all data centre operations are running smoothly, and that any issues are promptly addressed.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats to our data centre operations, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work with our Facilities team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and implement changes to improve our data centre operations.
  • Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that we are receiving the best possible service and support for our data centre infrastructure.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in our on-call rota to provide support for our data centre operations outside of normal working hours.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrable detailed knowledge of CRAC units, chilled water systems, and chillers.
  • Experience: Experience of UPS frames and generator systems, as well as PPM and BMS systems.
  • Soft Skills: A motivated team player with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a customer-facing role.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Full UK Driving License: A full UK driving license is required for this role.
