Service Advisor Job Description

EMG Kings Lynn is part of Grainger Motor Group, one of the fastest growing family-owned dealer groups in the UK, with 14 locations across the South and East Anglia.

We are seeking a highly professional and self-motivated Service Advisor to join our dynamic team at Kings Lynn Kia. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to delivering exceptional service experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage tasks while keeping a customer-centric approach, ensuring all interactions and services enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Create job cards and compile detailed invoices for all works carried out, guaranteeing transparency and accuracy in billing.
  • Collaborate closely with the workshop controller, parts department, and service manager to coordinate and deliver top-quality service experiences for our customers.
  • Record vehicle information, service history, and manage service requests through the 1 Link platforms, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurately maintained.
  • Liaise with leasing companies and retail customers to obtain approval on work, demonstrating excellent negotiation and communication skills to facilitate smooth service delivery.
  • Employ a proactive approach in identifying up-selling opportunities to benefit profitability of the department.
  • Identify potential issues or opportunities for service improvement, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our service standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven IT competency, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery, anticipating customer needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with previous experience in a service-focused role, demonstrating the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, and with external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, showcasing your ability to work independently, using your initiative, delivering first class customer service, and identifying up-selling opportunities.
  • A self-motivated, positive attitude and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
