Southfield Engineering & Calibration Services Ltd is a reputable family-owned enterprise established in January 2002. Located in Nottinghamshire, we are recognized for our exceptional Electrical Testing and Tool Calibration services, catering to a diverse range of industries across the U.K.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and enthusiastic Electrical Inspection and Testing Specialist to join our dynamic electrical team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Must possess qualifications such as C&G 18th Edition, C&G 2391/2395 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years of commercial electrical testing experience.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing software (Easycert/Amtech) is highly advantageous.
  • Additional qualifications/skills that are beneficial include C&G 2377 (PAT testing) (or equivalent), proficiency in IT (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), experience in fire alarm and emergency lighting testing, along with excellent communication abilities.
  • A valid full driving license is required.

Job Responsibilities:

The role involves traveling to various sites and offices nationwide to conduct EICR Testing on electrical installations within commercial environments while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities also include performing electrical remedial work and providing assistance to our fire alarm engineers as needed.

This position primarily requires working away from home (typically up to 3 nights per week), although local work is also available. Overnight accommodations are pre-arranged and covered by the company. When traveling, a £25.00 allowance for evening meals and breakfast can be claimed (without receipts). Additionally, a £15.00 overnight allowance is provided for each night away, which increases to £25.00 for any rare fourth night required.
