Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to join our team at Path Recruitment. As a Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing construction plant hire equipment to an extremely high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair construction plant hire equipment, including diagnosing faults, servicing, and performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on site.
  • Carry out breakdown repairs on construction plant machinery, ensuring minimal downtime for our clients.
  • Perform routine services on plant equipment, including diggers, dumpers, Vogel pavers, excavators, paving machines, and Bomag rollers.
  • Manage administration tasks, including completing paperwork accurately and on time, such as warranty claims.

Requirements:

  • Experience in maintaining and repairing construction plant hire equipment.
  • Knowledge of various construction plant machinery, including JCB, Volvo, Caterpillar, and others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary, up to £41k DOE, plus overtime at an additional rate.
  • A Monday-to-Friday schedule, with overtime rates on Saturdays.
  • 21 days of holiday, plus bank holidays.
  • Specialist training alongside our senior Plant Engineer.
