Job Summary

Kido is a leading provider of early years education, seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators to deliver high-quality care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of educators to plan, implement, and evaluate engaging and interactive learning experiences that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Take ownership of your room, ensuring that learning outcomes are met and exceeded, and that the nursery environment is safe, welcoming, and stimulating.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote the well-being and development of children.
  • Conduct observations and assessments to inform teaching and learning, and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers to ensure that they are informed and involved in their child's education.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the nursery's curriculum, ensuring that it is aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Kido curriculum.
  • Participate in staff training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Relevant childcare qualification, level 3 minimum.
  • Experience as a Room Leader or Deputy Room Leader in an early years setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS and the Kido curriculum, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
