SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an exceptional all-through SEN School in Royston, Hertfordshire. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Support: Develop strong relationships with students to ensure their emotional and academic well-being.
  • Promote Independence: Encourage students to take ownership of their learning, promoting personal development and independence.
  • Educational Activities: Assist in delivering high-quality educational activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Classroom Assistance: Support the Class Teacher in maintaining a smooth and organized classroom environment.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in responding to the changing needs of the school and adapting to various tasks.
  • Holistic Development: Contribute to the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being of students.
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language.
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • SEN Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEN is desirable.
  • Transportation: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to Royston, Hertfordshire.
  • Compliance: Must have a Full-Time Right to Work status.
