Assistant Estates Operations Manager

About the Role
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Estates Operations Manager to join their team. As an Estates Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the estates department, ensuring that all buildings, engineering systems, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineers and contractors to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure that all buildings and equipment are properly maintained.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is carried out within allocated budgets.
- Ensure that all health and safety standards are met and that all employees are trained to carry out their duties safely.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is carried out in a way that minimizes disruption to patients and staff.
Requirements
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree and specialist training, or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through City and Guilds Engineering courses, with demonstrable supplementary technical and management experience.
- Accredited Health and Safety training NEBOSH Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
- Suitable IT Skills MS Word & Excel /CAFM Micad.
- Committed to continuous management/professional development Authorised Person training to develop competence in areas such as Electrical/Water Safety.
