Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our team in Bradford, UK. As an Employee Relations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a consistent, high-quality Employee Relations service to our UK and Netherlands locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sound Employee Relations advice to line managers and employees, ensuring the business is equipped to make informed decisions.
  • Support and coach line managers across the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including employee onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Manage Employee Relations cases, including sickness, absence, and performance management, ensuring timely and accurate advice is provided to line managers.
  • Work proactively with People Business Partners to provide timely and accurate advice on Employee Relations matters.
  • Carry out case reviews, assessing risk and advising accordingly, including management of complex cases.
  • Attend meetings as required, providing Employee Relations expertise and advice.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to line managers on Employee Relations processes, procedures, and employment law risk.
  • Support Liberty Global with Restructures, TUPE, settlements, and other business change processes with people impact.
  • Support with People Policy development and Line Manager support tools.
  • Work with wider business stakeholders on ad hoc People Projects.
  • Analysis of ER data and business insights, proactively highlighting trends and recommending actions.
  • Preparation of Employment Tribunal bundles.
  • Delivery of Line Manager skills training as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in a role with large Employee Relations exposure, ideally within a customer-oriented commercial environment.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment legislation, its application, and best practice.
  • Broad understanding of the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data, trends, and insights.
  • Demonstration of proactive, commercially based approach to case management and risk.
  • Experience of supporting Business Change initiatives, such as TUPE and Restructures.
  • Experience of working closely with stakeholders effectively, resolving issues, and understanding drivers/needs, building good relationships with internal and external departments and 3rd-party organizations.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across cultural boundaries.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented, well-organized, adaptable, and resilient.
  • Demonstrates confidence in communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Some exposure to managing ACAS and ET claims.
