As a SEND Practitioner, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Supporting Students with Emotional Wellbeing: Providing guidance, support, and interventions to students facing emotional challenges.
  • Addressing Medical and Physical Needs: Assisting students with medical and physical requirements, ensuring their well-being and participation in school activities.
  • Developing Individualised Learning Programs: Creating and implementing tailored work programs for individual students or small groups, catering to their specific needs and learning styles.
  • Managing Care Plans and Medications: Effectively managing medication administration and care plans, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with learning difficulties and a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
  • Experience working within an educational setting is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A good understanding of the National Curriculum and its application in supporting diverse learners.
