Job Description

Job Title: Emergency Preparedness Specialist

Job Summary:

Bylor is seeking an experienced Emergency Preparedness Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all Bylor platforms, buildings, and work areas have adequate emergency preparedness and response plans in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans for Bylor platforms, buildings, and work areas.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards and threats.
  • Collaborate with platform construction and HSE management teams to ensure compliance with emergency preparedness regulations and requirements.
  • Provide training and coaching to platform staff on emergency preparedness and response procedures.
  • Conduct regular drills and exercises to test emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of emergency preparedness and response activities.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to emergency preparedness and response plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • 4-Day IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • CSCS Managers & Professional certification.
  • Incident & Injury Free (IIF) certification.
  • Field View | POWRA | VTS certification.
  • Working at Heights certification.
  • Incident Controller certification.
  • Emergency Marshal certification.
  • Good knowledge of the HPC site Trauma Medical Immediate Care (TMIC) syllabus and requirements.
  • Good knowledge of the law and regulation as it relates to the construction industry and emergency arrangements and provisions required.
  • Good knowledge of relevant Nuclear Site Licensing Conditions, particularly LC 11.
  • Good knowledge of Confined Space working regulation and rescue requirements.
  • Good knowledge of emergency medical first aid techniques and interventions.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certification.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (NGC) certification.
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Management (NCC) certification.
  • Member/Associate of the Emergency Planning Society.
