Position Overview:
This is a long-term opportunity for a skilled Pipefitter to contribute to significant projects in the engineering construction sector.

Compensation: £27.12 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet objectives and deadlines as set by supervisors.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship in accordance with specifications.
  • Achieve successful completion of petrochemical flange tests.
Required Competencies:
  • Proven ability to work in diverse environments, including fabrication workshops and field locations.
  • Capable of mentoring junior pipefitters in their skill development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
  • Completion of a full apprenticeship in a relevant trade or a Level 3 vocational qualification from an accredited body.
  • Possession of an Ace Card or equivalent in Installing Plant & Systems - Pipefitting.
  • Successful completion of ECITB Technical Test (TPF13 or TPF05).
  • CCNSG Safety Passport Training.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the fabrication and installation of pressure piping systems.
Additional Experience:
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in an engineering or construction environment.
  • Experience in large-scale industrial projects, including power generation and petrochemical facilities.
Other Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of pipefitting techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to determine technical requirements and resource needs for projects.
  • Skilled in shaping and assembling pipework components to meet specifications.
  • Proficient in preparing work areas and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Capable of testing installed pipework and documenting results.
  • Strong communication skills and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Main Duties:
  • Interpret job specifications and drawings accurately.
  • Select and cut piping materials to specified dimensions.
  • Prepare and align pipework for welding.
  • Bend piping using appropriate methods.
  • Join piping materials using various techniques.
  • Check and verify the accuracy of installations.
  • Install prefabricated piping sections on-site.
  • Operate machinery safely and effectively.
  • Conduct safety checks on tools and equipment.
