Residential Support Worker Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team in Leeds. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children aged 5-18 with Emotional Trauma, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health, and Challenging Behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and Review Care Plans: Collaborate with professionals to ensure individual care plans meet each young person's needs and goals.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain open communication with young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Risk Assessment and Safety: Ensure a safe and secure living environment by conducting risk assessments and implementing necessary measures.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete paperwork, including Incident Forms, Medication Records, and Logbooks, as per individual home requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a care setting with children.
  • DBS and Right to Work: Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service and have the right to work in the UK.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Qualifications: Hold a relevant qualification in Childcare or Social Care, such as an NVQ Level 3.
