About the Role

We are seeking an experienced part-time occupational health nurse to join our in-house OH service at Howdens Joinery in East Yorkshire. This is a six-month fixed-term contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of occupational health practice and support work towards SEQOHS accreditation.
  • Lead and deliver health surveillance, fitness for work health screening, and health promotion to employees.
  • Manage your caseload effectively and ensure the delivery of first-class service.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Occupational Health & Wellbeing policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of health promotion and other initiatives and documentation.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification.
  • Evidence of post-qualification training/continuous professional development relevant to the specialist role.
  • Clinical skills, preferably including experience in vision screening, spirometry, audiometry tests, HAV's, cardiovascular health, and increasing knowledge and associated potential risks via health promotion.
  • Experience working in an OH environment or similar setting (such as Primary Care).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to enable the effective performance of the main tasks.
  • IT literate, including word processing, using OH databases, and producing basic reports.
