Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Engineer to join our team at Security Cleared Jobs. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental directives and regulations.

Job Description Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough design reviews to confirm compliance with regulatory standards, including RoHS and REACH directives.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure ECO regulatory compliance meets project requirements and timelines.
  3. Perform life cycle analysis on selected products to create a Product Environmental Profile.
  4. Review current product implementation and identify improvements in design to increase sustainability.
  5. Maintain and update our regulatory compliance tool.
  6. Track changes and trends in Environmental legislation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  1. Degree or equivalent qualification.
  2. Knowledge and experience of the RoHS2 directive 2011/65/EC.
  3. Knowledge and experience of the REACH regulations.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of the life cycle methodology (ISO14040 Environmental management - Life cycle assessment - Principles and framework) & ability to evaluate the LCA results and accurately report findings.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of the Product Environmental Profile (ISO14025 Environmental Labels and Declarations).
  6. Understanding of the WEEE Directive 2011/65/EU.
  7. Knowledge and understanding of conflict minerals / Dodd-Frank regulations.
  8. Ability to problem solve, find solutions with minimum support and supervision.
  9. Ability to innovate, evolve and enhance processes.
  10. Working knowledge of Microsoft Software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  11. Proven ability to work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests.
  12. Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  13. Self-starter, energizing, results orientated and able to multi-task.
Desired Characteristics
  1. Knowledge of protection products.
  2. Knowledge and experience of SCARAB.
  3. SimaPro, EcoInvent, Windchill, SUMA, WPA experience.
