Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shunter Operator to join our team at People Solutions Group. As a Shunter Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving vehicles within our facility premises, ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently shunt vehicles within the facility premises, moving vehicles into loading tunnels for unloading/loading
  • Perform manual loading and unloading of goods, adhering to safety standards and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and drivers to coordinate vehicle movements, ensuring seamless logistics operations
  • Conduct pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, supporting the overall efficiency of our operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar shunting position is required, with a strong understanding of safe driving practices and manoeuvring techniques
  • Physical fitness and ability to handle manual loads, with a Category C+E Licence
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team, with a focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence
