Job Title: Technical Skills Coach - Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Skills Coach to join our team at Slough & Langley College. As a Technical Skills Coach, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of apprentices in the Engineering Levels 3-6 Apprenticeship Programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct visits and formative assessments in the workplace or remotely to support students' progress towards a successful gateway.
  • Provide teaching, coaching, mentoring, and assessment to apprentices.
  • Teach the theory elements of the standard in a classroom environment and provide ongoing support to apprentices and their employers.
  • Communicate regularly with apprentices and their employers to explain the standards and provide guidance.
Requirements:
  • A Level 4 or higher Teaching Qualification or the willingness to work towards this while on the job.
  • An Appropriate Engineering HNC/HND/Degree and/or vocational qualification or equivalent.
  • Ideal candidate will be IEng registered.
  • A1 Assessors Award is a strong advantage, but not required.
