Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who have special educational needs, including those with mental health difficulties, challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities such as Autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies to support students with challenging behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive a comprehensive education
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation to support student learning
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student progress and well-being

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. Education, Psychology, Special Education)
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and ability to work with students who have mental health difficulties
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
