Job Opportunity: Acute Occupational Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in an acute care setting. As an Acute Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients in need of occupational therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with acute injuries or illnesses, focusing on their occupational needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant professional body.
  • Experience working in an acute care setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
