Head of Environmental Sustainability (12+ month FTC)

PureFuel - Sustainable Talent is partnering with a global professional services organisation to find a Head of Environmental Sustainability for a 12+ month maternity cover contract. Reporting to the Group QHSE Director, you will lead the development and implementation of the company's sustainability and environmental strategy, policies, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver the verification, analysis, and reporting of environmental and sustainability performance, ensuring data compliance with GRI and UNGC reporting requirements.
  • Lead and oversee the emissions reduction plan in line with long-term science-based targets and net zero ambitions.
  • Build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders to improve understanding and buy-in to sustainability within the business.
  • Stay up-to-date with environmental legislation, best practices, and industry initiatives, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of sustainable practices.
  • Develop and implement programme management tools that enable tracking of performance reporting and provide functional dashboards and visualisation tools for monthly reporting on project progress.

Requirements:

  • IEMA NEBOSH qualified with significant H&S experience.
  • Degree in a relevant field (Sustainability, Environmental Science, etc.).
  • Team management experience.
  • Significant experience implementing environmental and H&S management systems, as well as auditing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
