Job Summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Voltage Substation Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of high voltage transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Supervise installation/commissioning activities to achieve high productivity and efficient work practices and to ensure compliance with National Grid & SPEN policies and procedures.
  • Site Preparation: Conduct pre-site survey before commencing the site work to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Client Management: Online & on-site meetings with Client/installers to ensure effective communication and project progress.
  • Safety Management: Assess and manage safety hazards and make each individual aware of all potential safety hazards at site.
  • Document Control: Control documents including RAMS, ITP, STP, site work program and HSE as per UK standards and client specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Setting goals for the site team, and seeing projects through to completion.
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting regular inspections and fixing any hazards to ensure high quality workmanship.

Requirements:

  • Experience in electric construction and transformer installation, service, and maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and standards.
