Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee data ingestion modules to acquire and manage publicly accessible genomic and molecular data.
  • Establish and maintain robust data processing pipelines and workflows for large-scale genomic datasets.
  • Create, populate, and manage databases and/or data warehouses for biological data access and storage, ensuring efficient I/O capabilities for data science workflows.
  • Utilize orchestration tools (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake) and high-performance computing frameworks (e.g., SLURM, AWS Batch).
  • Craft optimized SQL queries for effective data manipulation and analysis.
  • Design and maintain user-friendly interfaces, dashboards, and website front-ends for data exploration and execution of data science workflows.
  • Develop Microservices and APIs.
  • Supervise existing pipelines and lead/support the design of new pipelines and workflows based on high-performance computing infrastructures.
