Job Title: Building Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to join our team at Professional Construction Recruitment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the on-site design process, ensuring compliance with VCUK Design Management processes and procedures. This includes reviewing project information, briefing the design team, and monitoring progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Agree with the site team on specialist subcontractor procurement strategy
  • Produce and agree project stage design programme and associated design deliverables
  • Establish and agree project common data environment (CDE)
  • Manage design coordination workshops and progress meetings
  • Produce design management plan (DMP) and BIM execution plan (BEP)
  • Close out design assumptions and risks
  • Manage submission and approval of reviewable design data
  • Assist in commercial and technical review of specialist subcontract tender returns
  • Progress discharge of planning conditions and building regulation matters
  • Chair and record outcomes of design workshops/meetings
  • Monitor production and quality of design documentation
  • Undertake design performance reviews
  • Assist in archiving final issue design documentation
  • Produce best practice/lessons learnt paper
  • Procure and agree sub-contractor method statements
  • Advise on approach to manage physical interfaces between building elements and systems
  • Establish quality benchmarks and review regularly
  • Manage installation of utilities
  • Manage commissioning, witnessing, and validation of test results and user training
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in building services management, with a strong understanding of design management processes and procedures. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.
