About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at the Regional Medical Centre, Primary Care Rehab Facility (PCRF), RAF Halton. As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of physiotherapy to Service personnel, including highly specialist interventions in the muscular-skeletal/sports and training injury environment.

You will work closely with the Line Manager to ensure the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This will include undertaking highly skilled and specialist work, including both individual and group based therapy.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Physiotherapy, plus additional specialist training or experience to post graduate diploma level or equivalent. You will be a State Registered Physiotherapist with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and have relevant experience in the assessment and treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders, sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions.

We offer a competitive salary, £35,392 to £42,618 a year, pro rata for part time. In addition, you will receive a Regional Retention Allowance (RRA) of £600 per annum. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high standard of physiotherapy to Service personnel, including highly specialist interventions in the muscular-skeletal/sports and training injury environment.
  • Work closely with the Line Manager to ensure the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for entitled personnel.
  • Undertake highly skilled and specialist work, including both individual and group based therapy.
  • Perform highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by the Medical Officer (MO) or regional physiotherapy teams.
  • Formulate, develop and deliver a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon evidence based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physiotherapy, plus additional specialist training or experience to post graduate diploma level or equivalent.
  • State Registered Physiotherapist with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
  • Relevant experience in the assessment and treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders, sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate clinical experience.
  • Completion of relevant musculoskeletal physiotherapy courses.
