We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Services Manager to lead our team of Mortgage Consultants in delivering exceptional mortgage advisory services to our customers. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned professional to progress their career and take on a challenging role that will see you effectively retain, recruit, train, and manage a team of Mortgage Consultants across multiple branches.
About the Role
This is a senior leadership position that requires a proven track record of sales leadership in mortgage services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing business plans to achieve revenue growth from a range of income streams, working closely with the Divisional Mortgage Services Director and the Training Team to review and address the training and development needs of team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Certification of Mortgage Consultants: Ensure that all Mortgage Consultants under your span of control meet the required certification standards.
- Team Development: Develop a team of Mortgage Consultants to achieve their personal business objectives and specific performance and quality standards set by the company.
- Recruitment and Retention: Support the recruitment, development, and retention of Mortgage Consultants in line with the Company's recruitment plan.
- Business Development: Work closely with Estate Agency colleagues and the New Homes team to ensure a consistent and joined-up approach to business development activities, ensuring that first appointment volumes are delivered in line with business plans.
- Business Planning: In conjunction with the Divisional Mortgage Services Director, implement, monitor, and evaluate business plans to achieve the required growth in revenue from a range of income streams.
Requirements
- CeMAP Qualification: Hold a CeMAP qualification or industry-recognised equivalent.
- Proven Sales Leadership: Demonstrate a proven track record of sales leadership in mortgage services.
- Technical Knowledge: Possess an excellent level of technical and e-commerce knowledge, particularly relevant to the housing and mortgage market.
- Leadership Skills: Have experience in leading, developing, motivating, and influencing sales people in a customer-facing environment.
- Financial Services Knowledge: Have an excellent knowledge of Financial Services core products, including Mortgages, Life Assurance, Critical Illness, Income Protection, and Buildings & Contents Insurance.
- Business Acumen: Possess a working knowledge of how to identify and maximise business opportunities within the estate agency environment.
- Legislative Knowledge: Have a working knowledge of all legislation impacting on a Financial Services business, specifically a mortgage and protection business.
