The successful candidate will deliver compassionate care to individuals who are in the final stages of life and wish to remain in their homes, or those who need temporary crisis assistance at home.
This position does not provide sponsorshipMain Responsibilities
The Home Hospice Care Team (HHCT) is actively seeking Supportive Care Assistants to enhance our community-oriented team.
This team operates within the broader Oxfordshire Rapid Intervention for Palliative and End of Life Care initiative, functioning as a distinct unit. The primary focus of the Home Hospice Care Team is to support individuals who are nearing the end of life while remaining in their own homes. Additionally, the team is tasked with offering short-term assistance to those experiencing crises.
The team operates throughout the week from morning to evening, with staff members working a combination of early and late shifts, including every other weekend. All employees have a predetermined weekly schedule.
It is crucial that the candidate possesses a full UK driving license and has access to a dependable vehicle for work, as the team serves the entire Oxfordshire area.The Home Hospice Care Team has two main bases, and you will be assigned to the location nearest to your residence for mileage considerations, while still being required to cover the entirety of Oxfordshire.
