Teaching Assistant - Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in the Leigh Area. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support the learning and development of our children across Key Stage 1.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual support to children who require additional help.
  • Work full-time hours, 8:30am-3:30pm.
  • Offer pastoral support to children who need extra assistance.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist in assessing pupils' progress and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs.
  • Be flexible to work across different year groups.
  • Take on a lunchtime duty role.
Essential Requirements:
  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and have the right to work in the UK.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Have knowledge of phonics and early years learning.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs.
  • Experience using ICT to support learning.
