About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Radiographer to join our team as a Band 6/7 Advanced Practitioner in Radiotherapy. This is a full-time position based at the Cheltenham department of the Gloucestershire Oncology Centre.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver and supervise complex Radiotherapy procedures, ensuring precise positioning of patients and machinery.
  • Operate and maintain treatment machines, adhering to professional and departmental standards.
  • Act as a Team Lead in the absence of the Band 7 Enhanced Practitioner.
  • Update the department's Quality Management System.
  • Provide Category 1 cover for Bank Holidays and work at the Hereford Site, if required.
About the Department

The Gloucestershire Oncology Centre provides Radiotherapy services to patients from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, and Worcestershire. Our team prides itself on delivering high-quality patient care and extending this care beyond initial treatment through our Late Effects Service.

Requirements
  • BSC in Radiotherapy or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Experience working in an advanced Radiotherapy centre.
  • Skills with IGRT.
  • IT Competency.
