Senior Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our prestigious Leeds Office environment and complement our successful electrical engineering team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will undertake a range of duties and responsibilities, including developing designs and specifications for control systems, coordinating site, application, and design engineering resources, and ensuring effective interfacing between design, production, procurement, and installation and commissioning site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing designs and specifications for control systems across the portfolio of products available.
  2. Coordinating site, application, and design engineering resources to meet the project's technical requirement.
  3. Ensuring effective interfacing between the design, production, procurement, and installation and commissioning site teams to optimise project costs and implementation.
  4. Managing the technical content of projects with respect to cost, quality, contract documentation, and specifications and the associated engineering content of projects to budget.
  5. Attending customer sites and liaising with customer engineering representatives as required.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a Degree level or above in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years previous experience of electrical design work gained in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive design engineering experience in a drawing office environment, proven project management awareness, excellent communication skills at all levels, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
