We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. As a key member of our physiotherapy team, you will play a vital role in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions, working under the guidance of a registered therapist.
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs to facilitate recovery and improve patient outcomes.
- Provide support to the therapy team, including clerical and administrative tasks.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- NVQ 3 level or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
- Experience of working as a Band 3 in healthcare or equivalent experience from the leisure or social care sector.
- Knowledge of patient conditions and therapy from training or experience.
- Excellent team working abilities and ability to work flexibly.
- Experience of delivering rehabilitation with patients who require high levels of supervision and advanced communication techniques.
- Experience of equipment assessment and prescription.
- Understanding of principles of physiotherapy and procedures.
- Ability to teach and provide guidance on therapy and mobility activities to patients, relatives, and carers.
