This senior-level role is integral to maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability of our prestigious portfolio, which includes luxury resorts and mid-range hotels across the Caribbean and Central America.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the company's landscape design strategy, ensuring alignment with the brand's luxury and mid-range positioning.
- Oversee all landscaping projects from initial concept to completion, including new installations, renovations, and ongoing maintenance.
- Lead the creation of innovative and aesthetically pleasing landscape designs that enhance the guest experience, harmonize with the natural environment, and reflect the unique character of each property.
- Integrate sustainable practices into all landscape projects, focusing on water conservation, native plant use, and environmentally friendly maintenance techniques.
- Manage all aspects of landscape operations, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and quality control.
- Direct and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of landscape architects, designers, horticulturists, and grounds maintenance staff.
- Oversee relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring that all work meets the company's standards for quality and is completed on time and within budget.
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale landscaping projects, including new resort developments and major renovations.
- Work closely with senior management, property managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that landscape design and operations align with the company's overall strategic goals and enhance the guest experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in landscape design and operations, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale landscape projects from concept to completion.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable landscape practices and environmental design.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Outstanding project management abilities, with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
