Job Opportunity: Consultant in Respiratory Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our dynamic team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our respiratory department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage patients with respiratory conditions, including lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and sleep disorders.
• Lead and manage a team of respiratory clinicians, including consultants, registrars, and nurses.
• Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols for respiratory care.
• Contribute to the development of our respiratory services, including the design and implementation of new services and programs.
• Collaborate with other departments, including cardiology, oncology, and palliative care, to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
• Experience in respiratory medicine, including lung cancer, COPD, and sleep disorders.
• Leadership and management experience, including team leadership and service development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
