About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Children's Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Children's Continuing Care. This is a leadership role that requires a strong clinical background and excellent management skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking clinical shifts, observing and assessing the clinical competencies of Lifetime Support Workers, and providing clinical support to the rota coordination team. They will also be responsible for the line management of a team of Lifetime Support Workers, including training, management, and assessment.

This role requires extensive travel across the ICB areas to visit service users in their own homes and in other settings, as well as meeting and liaising with other teams and services.

Person Specification
  • Experienced Registered Children's Nurse
  • Full Driving UK licence
  • BSc (Hons) Community Children's Nurse or relevant community experience
Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of professional agenda and NMC standards
  • Ability to support and challenge in a supportive way
  • Understanding of systems and processes in relation to safe service delivery
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of Equality and Diversity
  • Ability to work in a changing environment
  • Children's Continuing Care experience
  • Clinical experience encompassing Special Schools, Children's Community Nursing, Complex Care, and Palliative Care
  • Experience of complex rota's to meet service and staffing demands
  • Evidence of Management/Leadership experience
  • Experience of delivering teaching
  • Experience of supervising/assessing students
