Job Opportunity: Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

We are partnering with a leading manufacturing business to find a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at MacGregor Black. This is a permanent position based in a production facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and support line change-overs to ensure optimal production efficiency.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Engineering department's vision and strategic plan, aligning with company goals.
  • Maintain production Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to meet site Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvements within the engineering environment, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
  • Adhere to and support factory-wide systems for compliance with company policies and statutory regulations for health, safety, and environment.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to aid in the planning and support of all capital engineering projects.
  • Be a proactive team player who can build effective credibility quickly within the peer group.

Requirements

  • Preferred experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Education to ONC level or equivalent preferred.
  • Electrical or Mechanical bias (both positions available).
  • Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Predictive Maintenance (PPM), and Continuous Improvement desirable.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of circa £40K + benefits, and a 12-hour shift pattern with 4 days on, 4 days off.
