Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Consultant-Depositary Compliance professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide oversight, technical, and monitoring support to our team and senior-level contacts at clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of Trustee and Depositary due diligence, technical, and oversight services.
Key Responsibilities- Stay up-to-date with UK, EU, and international regulatory developments impacting the Depositary business and provide analysis and dissemination to the business.
- Review fund documentation and ensure all operational procedures align with expected risk requirements.
- Provide support to ensure that client information is disseminated internally and identify opportunities to improve efficiency or work more closely on new business with the client.
- Ensure all Fiduciary and Depositary requirements are met and escalate any issues to the local Head of Depositary Services and Senior Manager Depositary Compliance where appropriate.
- Provide local support for all on-boarding initiatives and carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
- Knowledge of Depositary duties and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the fund and depositary banking industry.
- Good understanding of local and broader EMEA fund vehicles and structures.
- Familiarity with types of portfolio investment strategies.
- Effective communication and relationship management skills.
- Good command of MS Office tools.
- A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience.
- Prior experience in a similar function in a custodian bank, in the securities industry, or at an investment management firm that offers the full fund administration suite of services.
- Previous relevant risk management, legal, and compliance experience.
