About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at United Living Group. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical design elements of our projects, working closely with our project team to manage project delivery, and ensuring compliance with our company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Collaborate with the project team to create efficient methods of working and maintain project profitability, complete mechanical design elements of all Company projects, and develop specifications and schedules for equipment required for each project.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with the project team to scope, check, and troubleshoot projects, and ensure the smooth running of all projects.
  • Project Management: Manage and oversee all elements of project delivery, including preparation of necessary documentation, costings, proposals, specifications, site testing, and commissioning documentation.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure compliance with the Company's policies, procedures, and work instructions, including commitment to working with the Company to achieve its OH&S, environmental, and quality objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' related field and project experience.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent degree of computer literacy.
  • CAD expertise and experience preferable.
  • Field/practical experience essential.
  • Excellent CDM and health and safety knowledge and application.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training as required.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude with flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent personal presentation.
  • Valid UK driving licence (full, clean).
  • CSCS card preferable.
  • Confined spaces training (preferable).
