Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Standards: Ensure the legality, safety, and quality standards of all products and third-party brands are set, maintained, and monitored.
  • QA Systems: Drive and maintain quality assurance systems and processes, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • New Product Developments: Approve new product developments for suitability, safety, legality, and quality in line with QA processes.
  • Supplier Relationships: Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with factory partners, ensuring transparency regarding quality, sustainability, and ethical standards.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the product development team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Factory Visits: Conduct regular visits to factory partners to ensure products meet the required standards.
  • Risk Assessments: Create risk assessments for each product and escalate findings where manufacturing does not meet standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years in a Technologist, Quality, or Compliance Testing role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in General Merchandising, preferably in gifting, toys, or souvenirs.
  • Skillset: Ability to conduct risk assessments, drive, and set/maintain quality standards.
  • International Experience: Experience working directly with factories, particularly in the Far-East.
  • Testing and Manufacturing: Robust testing and manufacturing experience.
  • Legislation and Quality Management: Strong understanding of UK legislation and Quality Management Systems.
