We are seeking a highly skilled Class 1 Night Trunk Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, you will be responsible for trunking from Ernesettle to pallet network hubs in the West Midlands and reloading back to Ernesettle.
Key Responsibilities- Trunking from Ernesettle to pallet network hubs in the West Midlands and reloading back to Ernesettle.
- Covering internal trunking as required.
- Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring load security.
- Completing daily vehicle checks on company phones.
- Working closely with network hubs.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customer expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
- Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of curtain-side trailers is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
- Salary: £38,546pa - £42,714pa (includes shift allowance of £20.00 per shift for any shifts starting between 15:00hrs and 02:00hrs*).
- Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 48 hours per week, shifts starting between 18:00hrs - 21:00hrs.
- Overtime available, paid at an hourly rate.
