Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Production Engineering Technician to become a vital part of our team, concentrating on both New and Existing product lines, as well as Special projects. This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities including New Product integration, Production assistance, quality inspection, tooling design, process enhancement, and the creation of assembly documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Production Engineering team throughout the New Product Development process
  • Support product assembly operations
  • Design and develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions
  • Conduct inspections of non-conforming products
  • Develop clear and concise assembly instructions

Essential Qualifications

  • Educational background: HNC (or equivalent) or completion of an apprenticeship
  • Proactive and self-driven approach
  • Familiarity with Production methodologies
  • Capability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Excellent communication abilities

This role is situated within our Spectroscopy Products Division, recognized as a leader in Raman Spectroscopy technologies, delivering advanced spectrometers and laser products globally.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational skills, a self-motivated attitude, and a solid understanding of Production and assembly methodologies. Exceptional communication skills are crucial for success in this position.
