Position Overview

Purpose of the Role

Our vision is to empower more individuals with quality financial advice. To fulfill this vision, we are developing a cutting-edge wealth management service designed to assist clients in planning and managing their financial futures. This service will merge exceptional digital product design with wealth management proficiency.

The Technical Lead will oversee the technical facets of software development, providing robust technical guidance to a team of software developers engaged in this exciting initiative. You will play a pivotal role in determining technical solutions that align with stakeholder needs while ensuring high standards in code design and quality. Operating within an agile framework, you will collaborate with product managers, designers, and key stakeholders to create leading client experiences within the broader product context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high standards in code design, quality, reliability, and resilience while driving process enhancements.
  • Capable of scoping complex tasks and projects, delivering mature, scalable technical designs to meet requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers to devise technical solutions and work alongside Technical Architects for product integration with internal and external systems.
  • Maintain a client-centric approach in the solutions you develop, incorporating client feedback to shape future strategies.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, capable of articulating solutions clearly without technical jargon.
  • Show a commitment to self-improvement and learning new technologies.
  • Approach problem-solving with a pragmatic mindset.
  • Collaborate with designers and user experience specialists to create new products and experiences.
  • Experience in an agile, iterative engineering environment.
  • Mentor and guide developers in best practices.
  • Contribute to shaping the Engineering Centre of Excellence.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven background in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and MapStruct.
  • Extensive experience with Maven, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, Angular/React, ES6 & Typescript.
  • Solid experience in API development.
  • Good understanding of UI/UX principles.
  • Strong experience with GIT.
  • Familiarity with design patterns.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Understanding of security principles and their implementation.
