We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Elizabeth Court in Caterham. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals to residents, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Manage food storage, handling, and disposal, minimizing waste and ensuring compliance with food safety procedures.
- Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and presentation, ensuring a varied and appealing diet for residents.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the Chef Manager and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
- Level 2 food safety certificate and experience in a catering environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
- Ability to work in a pressured environment, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
