About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Administrator to join our team at Ealing Council. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to our schools and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial administration of our schools, including processing orders, invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and spreadsheets.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, including virements, figures, and journals.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to our schools and other departments.
  • Collaborate with our School Business Manager to maintain the school inventory.
  • Ensure outstanding financial audit outcomes.
  • Develop and implement financial procedures and policies to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English, Maths, Excel, Communication, and IT skills.
  • Experience working in a school office or finance department.
  • Training in FMS (Financial Management System).
  • Experience in finance, working with systems, ledgers, and spreadsheets.
