Job Title: Bank Registered Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Bank RMN. As a Bank RMN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health needs in a variety of settings, including emergency departments, medical assessment areas, and wards.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing, with experience in working therapeutically with individuals who have self-harmed. You will be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate mental health nursing interventions, and interact effectively with colleagues from a range of specialties and departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level nursing care to patients with mental health needs
  • Deliver a range of nursing and psychosocial interventions to help reduce patients' distress
  • Assist and support general hospital colleagues in making decisions about treatment and care in complex situations
  • Represent mental health services within the general hospital
Requirements:
  • RMN NMC registration
  • Knowledge of working therapeutically with individuals following self-harm
  • Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and the Mental Health Act and their use in the general hospital
  • Knowledge of the clinical and demographic risk factors associated with self-harm and suicide
