Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified professional for the role of MRI Services Coordinator within the Division of Surgery at BHRUT NHS. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing, maintaining, and enhancing the MRI imaging service, ensuring it operates safely and effectively. This role involves collaboration with the MRI Lead Radiographer, the radiography team, students, and support staff, as well as engaging with the broader multi-disciplinary team.

Our Radiology Department is extensive, featuring multiple CT scanners and a large ultrasound unit, along with a dedicated Interventional Theatre Suite. We are equipped with several MRI scanners to accommodate the increasing volume of referrals.
Candidates with recent experience in the NHS are preferred.

Main Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the technical radiography staff and enhance the efficiency of the MRI service at BHRUT.
The post-holder will contribute to the daily operations of the MRI service, including standardizing protocols, managing patient bookings and waiting lists, and supervising radiographers and support staff across all areas.
It is essential to ensure that the MRI service is upheld through staff training, adhering to Trust policies, and conducting comprehensive competency assessments.
Working alongside the MRI Superintendent Radiographer, you will promote continuous improvements in service delivery and quality across all MRI service areas, employing modern techniques to enhance productivity and lead service and workforce transformation initiatives.
The post-holder will oversee departmental staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement in delivering high-quality services. This includes setting challenging yet achievable objectives for staff through effective leadership, motivation, and systematic performance management.
