Job Summary

This is a Supervising Barrister position with a leading North West personal injury firm, seeking a successful Barrister with over 5 years' experience to join their in-house advocacy department. The ideal candidate will handle their own caseload of hearings and trials, while also supervising two pupil barristers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake advocacy on behalf of the firm, covering a range of hearings and trials, including liability, quantum, and causation disputes.
  • Advise, research, analyze, and draft as required, utilizing strong research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Supervise two pupil barristers, providing guidance and support to develop their in-house advocacy skills.
  • Travel on short notice, potentially staying overnight to attend court on consecutive days, with expenses covered.

Requirements

  • Practising Barrister with over 5 years' experience.
  • Previous personal injury experience is preferable.
  • Full rights of audience are required.
  • Excellent advocacy and communication skills.
  • Strong research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel daily across the country, potentially staying overnight.
