The Senior Cost Estimator will take the lead in developing and presenting accurate build costs for high-value projects, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality in cost estimation.

Collaboration with the broader preconstruction team and supply chain partners is essential to align costs with project specifications and client expectations.

The Senior Cost Estimator will oversee the estimating process from initial proposal to contract finalization, focusing on procurement strategies and value optimization to ensure project success and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive tender procurement strategy tailored to project requirements, ensuring a solid profit plan and effective supply chain engagement.
  • Conduct or supervise detailed project take-offs in accordance with industry standards for all trades.
  • Prepare a thorough cost information package for the commercial build team during the handover phase, including completed comparisons, bills of quantities, tender documentation, and quotations.
  • Work closely with the production team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure logistics, scheduling, sequencing, and constructability are effectively addressed.
  • Evaluate the performance of supply chain partners in collaboration with the site team.
  • Ensure all design and survey fees are accurately reflected in the proposed costs.
  • Manage costs, timelines, and quality to meet established targets.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance value throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Possession of an appropriate CSCS card.
