Plant Fitter Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join our team at BMR Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and inspections of plant and heavy machinery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of plant and heavy machinery.
  • Conduct pre-delivery and post-delivery inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Prepare equipment and machinery for hire, including fabricating mechanical parts and components.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety standards and policies.
  • Report any faults and maintain accurate records of work activity.
  • Replace damaged components and perform other maintenance tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with plant and heavy machinery, including maintenance and inspection activities.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Ability to follow mechanical and electrical drawings and diagrams.
  • Experience fabricating mechanical parts and components.
  • Mechanical service background with experience working with heavy machinery.
